Morplan chooses Swiss Post Solutions to deliver E-Billing to its customers
Swiss Post Solutions (SPS) is pleased to announce that it has signed a two year contract with Morplan to manage the electronic fulfilment of all of its customer accounts documents.
Morplan (part of the Retif Group) is the UK's number one supplier of shop equipment, shop fittings and packaging for the fashion and retail industries.
Under the contract SPS will manage the electronic distribution of all of Morplan's customer invoices, statements, credit notes and reminders (circa. 20,000 documents each month). A deciding factor in contracting with SPS was their ability to provide a solution that was compatible with Morplan's existing e-commerce platform, and would be able to offer on-going support to Morplan's online business strategy.
'We decided on SPS as they were the company that best fit with our own e-commerce suite. The benefit we get is that the solution easily sits on the back of our website where it contributes to the customer experience of doing business with us, and adds value to our customer service. Moving forward it's also an integral part of plans to grow our online business,' said Kim Skellet, Finance Manager, Morplan.
The SPS e-billing platform will operate as both a 'push' and 'pull' solution for multi-channel bill fulfilment. The ‘pull’ side of the solution will enable Morplan customers to access their account data through a dedicated online portal, while invoices will also be ‘pushed’ to customers electronically as PDF attachments. Customers can use the secure website to check the status of their accounts and view or download invoices and statements and raise and resolve queries.
There are numerous advantages for Morplan including document delivery that is not reliant on postal service, avoiding risks of delay and exposure to ever increasing postal charges. Morplan's customers benefit too through the ability to access billing data in formats that can be imported directly into their in-house systems, raise queries and obtain copy documents at the click of a button.
The new portal will provide Morplan with greater visibility, a better system of credit control and payment, improved customer interaction, as well as significant cost savings. By reducing the need for paper, printing, postage and physical archiving, Morplan is adopting a sustainable, scalable and efficient solution for the distribution of billing documents to their customers.
