Efficient working is the key to a more sustainable business. Careful balancing of economic, social and environmental requirements results in a lean, cost-effective, yet productive, working environment with a reduced draw on our natural resources.

Swiss Post Solutions aims to be efficient in its direct use of energy, materials and water, manage waste responsibly and avoid polluting the environment.

Particular areas of focus are those where our business has the biggest impact.

Minimise waste

The reduce, re-use, re-cycle principle is actively promoted. Whilst all legal requirements surrounding waste are adhered to and recycling facilities are available in all our offices, we recognise that preventing the production of waste in the first place is paramount. As such we discourage excessive purchasing of consumables, re-use packaging where possible and print double sided and in black and white as a default. As a leading processor of documents for our clients we are regularly able to donate used surplus stationary to local organisations.

Reduce paper usage

Paper is a major resource in the process of our business. Millions of documents, letters, records and files are sent, delivered, transported, received, opened, archived and scanned by our employees annually. Our services form a unique opportunity to minimise the environmental impact of our clients’ information and document requirements, on paper or electronic media.
