SPS secure place on two major frameworks serving the NHS in the UK

London, UK - SPS, a leading outsourcing provider for business process solutions and innovative services in document management, has been awarded a place on two major frameworks serving the NHS in the UK; the London Procurement Partnership (LPP) Digital Document Solutions (DDS) framework and the Lloyd George Digitisation Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) framework.

The DDS framework is designed to provide NHS organisations with specialist clinical systems, digital records and printing services. It is run by the buying group NHS London Procurement Partnership (LPP) and can be used by all NHS entities in the UK, including hospital Trusts, GP groups, clinical commissioning groups, and specialist care centres – as well as the wider public and third sectors. It has not been split into lots but, according to procurement notices, will cover a wide range of products including digital document solutions and any associated hardware or software. SPS will provide digital mailroom, document storage, electronic document management and external print.

The DPS framework, which falls under the wider Lloyd George Digitisation framework, is committed to digitising GP medical records, freeing up space in GP practices and ensuring staff save time and can work more efficiently. Lloyd George records are paper documents which for several years made up the system for the storage of general practice information on patients. SPS has a place on Lot 1 of this framework, which includes scanning and associated services (including collection, on-site preparation packing, document preparation, scanning, indexing and delivery to clinical systems for ingestion).
